A national policy is established to protect the U.S. agriculture and food system from intentional and unintentional threats. This directive covers policies related to roles and responsibilities, awareness and warnings and vulnerability assessments in the event of natural disasters, terrorist attacks and other emergencies that can pose harm to the food and agriculture system.
