National Response Plan: Food and Agriculture Incident Annex (PDF | 82 KB)

Responding to incidents impacting food and agriculture require following several objectives, which are discussed in this national response plan. Objectives explored include detecting incidents through reports of illness, disease, consumer complaints and environmental monitoring, establishing a primary coordinating agency, determining the source of outbreak, controlling the distribution of affected source, protecting the at-risk population, assessing public health, food, agriculture and law enforcement implications and assessing the extent of residual contamination and disposal.
